Albert Hawthorne

He was born March 4, 1935 in Hartford, Alabama to Isaiah and Elizabeth Hawthorne. The family moved to Panama City, Florida when he was two years old. He lived there until he joined the Army at 17 and left home.

He met and married Vera in 1955 in Yakima, Washington. Shortly after, he was sent to Korea. When he returned from his tour of duty in Korea, they moved to Fallbrook, California in December 1956. He worked for the Fallbrook Public Utility District for 13 years before going to work for Cyrstal Silica Sand Co. in Oceanside, California. He worked there twenty years before the company closed.

He was Cub Master of Pack 737 and Scout Master of Troop 737 from 1966 - 1973. He loved to fish, dance, go camping, garden and just be with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years - Vera, his son Albert and his wife, Katherine, his daughter Mary Nadine and Mark Peterman of Cabot, Arkansas, sister in law Mary Ann Westbury, sister in law Ellen & Dale Maygra of Selah, Washington, sister in law - Joan Shaw and Dave of Tennessee, brother in law Jim Ramsey and Deb of Fallbrook, California, brother in law Cliff Larson and Denise of Walla Walla, Washington, granddaughter Marissa Hawkins and Brandon of Jacksonville, Arkansas, granddaughter Christine Puza and Dan of Hoosick Falls, New York, Grandson Steven Gutwein and Laurie of Fallbrook, California.

Great grandsons - Archer Gutwein, Eber Gutwein, Caden Hawkins, Maddux Hawkins

Nephews - Chip Stickerod, Charles Stickerod, Craig Tomlinson, Don Tomlinson, Blake Maygra, Kyle Maygra, Ryan Larson

Nieces - Shelby Ramsey and Kimmi and numerous great nieces and great nephews.

Memorial Service will be held April 27, 2019 at 11 a.m. at LifePointe Church - Fallbrook, California.
