Bryan Leigh Aylward

September 27, 1969 – December 31, 2019

The world lost a loving selfless spirit when Bryan Leigh Aylward passed away unexpectedly in his sleep in the comfort of his home December 31, 2019. Bryan was born September 27, 1969 in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. His family moved to La Jolla, California in 1972 where he attended Decatur Elementary, Muirlands Junior High, and La Jolla High School. In 1986 he transferred to Kemper Military School in Boonville, Missouri from which he graduated in 1988. Bryan attended Northern Arizona University and the University of Phoenix where he graduated with a B.S. in Business Management.

Bryan had a long career with LPL Financial in San Diego. While at LPL he earned his Securities Licenses from FINRA for Series 7, Series 66, and Series 24. Bryan left LPL as Assistant Vice President, Business Development and recently began a new role as Director of Wealth Management for Global Retirement Partners (GRP) Financial based in Carlsbad, California.

Living so close to the beach, it is no surprise that Bryan was an avid surfer spending lots of time at local La Jolla beaches like Windansea, Marine Street, and Hospitals. Bryan loved to connect with nature in the mountains. He hiked many national parks and landmarks including his favorite Yosemite. Bryan was a world traveler visiting Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Thailand, Vietnam, and many others countries. An absolute foodie, Bryan loved to cook as much as he loved to explore new restaurants.

Bryan is survived by his mother Patricia Aylward, Scripps Ranch, California.; father Peter Aylward; stepmother Ann Aylward, San Diego; brother Kevin Aylward (Vickie Aylward), Potomac Falls, Virginia; sister Michelle Aylward Rossow, San Diego; and stepsister, Lindsey Purdie, San Diego.
