Carol Dean Bleakley

Mrs. Carol Dean Bleakley went to heaven after passing away peacefully in her home on Sunday, June 13, 2021, after a short battle with cancer. Carol, a long-time resident of Scripps Ranch, was born and raised in the Panama Canal Zone and graduated with a teaching degree from Colorado State Teachers College, which enabled her to pursue her dream of teaching elementary school in the Panama Canal Zone, Long Beach, Japan, San Diego, and Ramona during deployment of her Navy husband. Carol retired from teaching in 2001, however, she continued on with her passion of teaching children at Christ Community Church for over 20 years in the children’s ministry, Vacation Bible School, tutoring and more. She is survived by her husband, retired Navy Captain Andrew Bleakley, Jr., her sons, David and Andrew, and her grandchildren, Isabelle and Chase. A Celebration of Carol’s Life will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Christ Community Church in Mira Mesa at 9535 Kearny Villa Rd. San Diego, CA 92126.
