Charles “Chuck” Edwin Kemp II, aged 61, of Poway, California passed away on Tuesday June 17, 2025, surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Chuck was diagnosed with myxofibrosarcoma in January 2024 and fought hard the last year and a half. Chuck was singing, dancing, and making us laugh until the very end of his fight.
Born in La Mesa, California on July 31, 1963, Chuck was the epitome of hard work and dedication. He was a family man, a supportive friend, a champion for the underdog, and a respected business leader.

Chuck went on to work for Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) for 28 years where he held various accounting and finance roles. While working for internal audit at SAIC, he obtained his CPA license. In 2013, after a seasoned career with SAIC, Chuck and his wife, Wendy, relocated to Eagle, Idaho, where Chuck became the Chief Financial Officer of Power Engineers.
Beyond his work, Chuck was a devoted husband to Wendy, a loving father to Ashley, Timothy, and Trevor, and a proud Grandpa to Harrison. He dedicated his life to creating a supportive and stable home. Chuck’s stories, advice, and boisterous laugh will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.
Chuck was preceded in death by his mother Patricia Ross, father Charles “Charlie” Edwin Kemp, and stepmother Pat, and is survived by wife Wendy, daughter Ashley, sons Timothy and Trevor, and grandson Harrison.
