Clyde Glenn Thomas, a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Vietnam Veteran,npassed away on July 21, 2023, following a brief illness. He was born on May 30, 1947, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late William Matthew Thomas and Emma Crase Thomas.
Glenn was a man of courage and dedication, having served his country with honor as a Vietnam Veteran in the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1970. His commitment to serving the nation was a testament to his strong sense of duty and love for his fellow Americans.
Throughout his life, Glenn was a pillar of strength and support for his family. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Debbie Thomas, who stood by his side through thick and thin, sharing countless cherished memories and experiences. Together, they built a life filled with love and devotion.
Glenn's love extended to his three children, Mollie Elizabeth Thomas, Megan Marie Schatzschneider, and Mark Glenn Thomas. He was a caring and involved father, always there to offer guidance and encouragement. His children carry forward his legacy of love and compassion, and they will forever cherish the moments they spent together as a family.
Glenn's heart swelled with pride as he watched his family grow with the addition of three beautiful granddaughters: Emma Blair Thomas, Eden Marie Schatzschneider, and Nora Lane Schatzschneider. He adored his granddaughters and showered them with love, creating lasting bonds that will forever be etched in their hearts.
Aside from his service and family, Glenn had many interests and hobbies. He loved telling stories and telling jokes. He loved Nascar, baseball, reading, going for walks, music, movies, cars, and of course spending time with family. In recent years he enjoyed constructing Playmobil Autos.
Glenn will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support will leave a lasting impact on those whose lives he touched. Although he is no longer with us, his memory will live on through the stories and memories shared by his loved ones.
