Consuelo Vega Archuleta

December 16, 1946-March 4, 2024

Our dear mother Consuelo Vega Archuleta peacefully passed away in her sleep on March 4, 2024, at the age of 77 after a long battle with dementia. She was a wonderful mother who did her best and was always by our side when we needed her. She had a great smile and loved having a good time with her loved ones.

Connie, as she was known to family and friends, was born in National City, CA into a loving household consisting of both parents and 5 daughters. She was part of the first graduating class from Castle Park High School in Chula Vista.

She went on to work 33 years in the education industry at both the San Diego County Office of Education and San Diego State University. She ultimately retired as a Operator's and Directories Coordinator at SDSU after having several positions in multiple departments.

She was predeceded in death by her parents Silverio and Carmen Becerra of Chula Vista and sisters Phyllis (Raymundo) Gonzalez of San Ysidro; Carmen (Jim) Shields of Chula Vista; and Maria Reyes of San Diego and is survived by her children Javier Archuleta of La Mesa; Ted and Raquel(Hernandez) Archuleta of San Diego; and Lisa Archuleta of Raton, NM. She has 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren who she loved dearly.

If you would like to you can join us at a Celebration of Life on April 13, 2024 at the Hansen Park Clubhouse, 2730 Cliffside Ave, Spring Valley, CA 91977. The gathering will be from 2:00-5:00 PM. Words, love, and stories will be shared and food will be served.
