Don is survived by his wife, Susan Trout, his three sons, Karl Trout, Curtis Trout, and Josh Engsberg, as well as his three grandsons, Brennan Lane, Tyler Trout, and Ryan Trout.
He dearly loved Sherry Warren, Jay Warren, Tess Warren, Mike Sincerbox, Mike Phinney, and Roland Salzmann, caring for them as if they were his own.
Don was rightfully proud of his work as a crane operator during the construction of the I-70 corridor through Colorado as well as his service to the state as a volunteer firefighter.
He was very passionate about his cherished Harley Davidson and eventually realized his dream of becoming a racecar driver.
Don bravely served his country and was, in every sense of the word, a true patriot.
He will be remembered by all as a loving husband, father, and grandfather who adored his family and friends.
A service will be held at Miramar National Cemetery on the 16th of April, 2021 at 11:30 A.M.
