Gil Espinosa

Gil was born in 1935 in the city of San Juan Y Martinez in the province of Pinal Del Rio, Cuba. He is survived by sons Gil Jr and Mauricio in Cuba, wife Esther and sons Robert Espinosa with wife Diane, Erik Espinosa with wife Jenny, grandsons Mason and Roman, wife Olga and her children Roque and Ana, and grandchildren Kelly and Ricky. His Older Sister Lerida Escobar and family in Puerto Rico, Nora Ciprian, and her family in Florida and his younger brother Cesar Espinosa and Family in Cuba. He is proceeded in death by his Nephew Ricardo Ciprian and Niece Martha Escobar. Gil emigrated from Cuba in 1968 and settled in Union City, New Jersey where he worked for Shop Rite grocery distribution center for 26 years while also maintaining a side business. He was a strong, hardworking and dedicated man who loved his family. He was an avid sports fan who could be seen sporting his Mets or Jets gear regularly. He was passionate about his sports as anyone who had a conversation with him knew. Gil Passed away peacefully in his home with his wife Olga Espinosa and step-son Roque Viera at his side the morning of Thursday May 18, 2017.
