Janice Lee Thomey

Janice Lee Thomey, 74, of San Diego, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025 to be with our Lord. Born on December 5, 1950 in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, she was the eldest daughter of the late Harold L. Korber and Shirley Ross Korber.

Jan was a loving sister to Leslie Davis of Irwin, PA; Hal Korber (Kathy) of Newport, PA; and Ross Korber (Janet) of Natrona Heights, PA. She will be forever remembered as a special aunt to several nieces and nephews. Jan also surrounded herself with dear friends whom she cherished. She is deeply missed by family, friends and coworkers.

Jan enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and especially loved spending time with puppies of any age, size or breed. She spread joy with her sweet sense of humor but was dedicated to her work and driven by a commonsense work ethic.

In addition to her father and other loved-ones, Janice was preceded in death by her beloved husband - the love of her life – Thomas “Tommy” Thomey.
