He had several occupations, some being a farm manager, teacher,and woodcarver. He most enjoyed owning a specialty gift shop, in California, called, The Red Balloon. He said he really enjoyed talking to the people even when they did not make a purchase.
He is survived by his wife of sixty five years, Gwen Lee, His daughter Anne Lee, and her wife,Julee Blair,and his son Roger Platt. His son, Wayne, previous, deceased. He also has three grand-sons, Raymond, Ryan, and Richard.
According to his wishes, his ashes will be distributed in the Atlantic Ocean, from Marginal Way in Perkins Cove, Maine.
