He is survived by his wife, Francisca and his daughters, Virginia, Brenda and Hazel. He had four grandchildren, Jacob, Alexander, Jaden and Isabella and his son-in-law, Christopher.
Miguel was born on September 29, 1934 in San Antonio, Samar, Philippines to his father, Braulio Ormenita and his mother, Honorata Bayan. Miguel joined the U.S. Navy at a very young age and served for 21 years. He had a passion for cooking and traveling. Miguel was blessed to have lived a life of adventure and loved the sea. After finally retiring from the Navy and then the Merchant Marines, he settled down in San Diego and lived a quiet and simple life. Miguel was kind and peaceful at heart.
He will be missed and his memory will live in the hearts of his family.
