Pierre Patrick Vaughn

Pierre Vaughn of San Diego, California, passed away on Friday October 6, 2023 at 4:59pm at the age of 71. He was born on July 8, 1952 in Omaha, Nebraska where he grew up in a large loving family. Pierre graduated from Berkley Law School in 1977 and ran his own practice up until he passed.

To know Pierre, was to know a truly extraordinary force. One that dramatically defined the human condition, and at all times, lead with passion, ferocity, brilliance, and most of all, LOVE. Though in some ways cut short, as many of you who know, Pierre believed he lived far longer than he ever expected. And because of this personal belief and understanding, he truly and emphatically treated every single day of life as a cosmic gift, not ever to be wasted or trivialized. Pierre fought tirelessly until the very end for “the little guy” both in his work and in service through his spiritual community.

Pierre was preceded in death by his parents Marjorie and Bill Vaughn, and oldest brother Bill Vaughn. He is survived by his wife Debbie Wingard, sons Brendan and Kyle Vaughn, brothers Mike Vaughn-Williams and Jim Vaughn, sisters Kathi Van Liew and Michele Johnson, many loved nephews and nieces, and his loyal guide dog, Graham.
