Rena Mae Paradis Dragotta of San Diego, CA passed away on Saturday May 17, 2025, at the age of 77. She was born on February 29, 1948, in St. Agatha, Maine where she grew up in a large loving family with seventeen siblings.
She graduated from Wisdom High School, St. Agatha, Maine in 1966. Several years later, she married and moved to California where she raised two beautiful daughters.
She worked as a bank teller until she was hired as office manager/administrator of a maintenance company in Orange County, CA.
She was extremely talented in design and creation of beautiful crochet projects: Afghans, doll clothes and baby blankets. One of her greatest joys was crocheting personalized items for her loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her parents Antoine and Rose Anna Paradis, two sisters Joanne and Rita and two brothers Fern and Roland.
She is survived by her two daughters Angelique Florenz, (Mike Florenz) and Danielle Dragotta; grandsons Shane and Nicholas.
Rena was best known for her sweet demeanor, thoughtfulness, kindness and generous smile to intrigue all who met her.
Rena Mae Paradis Dragotta’s legacy will live on through her family, friends, and the countless lives she touched with her warmth and creativity. Her crocheted works serve as timeless reminders of her love, each stitch imbued with her gentle spirit. Those who cherish her memory will always remember her ability to transform simple threads into heartfelt treasures, just as she brought joy and comfort into the lives of all who knew her.
The family would like to thank Kaiser Hospice in Home for the care and compassion they showed our loved one (Miss Rena) up to her final days.
