Sam M Zuercher Jr.

Sam M, Zuercher JR., passed away May 12, 2018 in San Diego, CA. He was born in Wichita, Kansas on November 14, 1933. He retired as Director of Human Resources, Fiat Allis, North America, Inc. and The Hesston Corporation, Hesston, Kansas and Carol Stream, Illinois.

He served in the United States Army in Germany, attended Wichita Public Schools and was a 1958 graduate of the University of Kansas. He survived by his wife, Evelyn, a daughter, Pamela, Mrs. Bret Soyez of Goessel, Kansas and a son, Michael, (his wife Michele) of Minneapolis, MN, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Amy Joan, his sister, Barbara Cooper, and his parents, Sam and Henrietta Zuercher. Sam was a member of La Jolla Presbyterian Church, La Jolla, California. Services will be held at Miramar National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for La Jolla Presbyterian Church, Sun House (youth program), 7715 Draper Ave, La Jolla, CA 92037 or the Kansas University Alumni Association, Lawrence, Kansas.
