Ok Mama, now that the formality is out of the way…
Ginger, Gin, Mama G, Spice, and her favorite Mom/Mama and Grandma is what we all knew her by. “Knew” it’s such a strange and painful thing to say. She was such a strong woman, who a lot of us thought was quite possibly invincible. Mom lived a very full life, and she did it her way. She loved her family and friends so fiercely, so unconditionally. She worked hard, and played even harder.
Mom had a few great loves in her life, her one true love was being a Mom and Grandma though. While present on this rock we call Earth, she’d been a Mom to Brian (& Cami), Tami (& Stacey), Lollipop (her favorite child haha), and a Grandma to Brandon, Britton, & Camree. She was always so proud of all of us. She spoiled us so very much! Most of her thoughts were centered around us. She especially loved watching us all play sports, and bragging about all that we accomplished (even to some of our embarrassment at times, haha). She was the best Mom and Grandma anyone could ever ask for.
Her friends, goodness she loved the heck out of all of you. All of you, from her sister (from another mister), travel companions, her workout and lunch buddies, and her pool playing teammates. She was a devoted and loyal friend. She developed and cultivated so many friendships. We’ve never met a friend like her.
Mom loved to stay busy, and she was always on the go. She was creative and artistic, she loved to crochet and paint. When she was younger she played the guitar, piano, and ready for this, the accordion! She really enjoyed doing water aerobics. She loved traveling. Her passion though, was playing pool. She loved to compete, and she was pretty gosh darned good at it too. A couple fun facts, she played for 20 years, and played in 1,141 matches. She completed the biggest accomplishment in 2022, by competing in the Nationals tournament and winning the title with her teammates. It was such an awesome match to watch!
She worked for Liberty Mutual for 30+ years in the IT department. Her title changed so many times over the years, the last one I remember was Senior Programs Analyst or maybe it was Senior Systems Analyst. I’m sure her coworkers are having a nice chuckle about this part. I didn’t even list all the different entities she worked for under the Liberty banner (starting with Golden Eagle ha!). She loved what she did, she would always say there was something new to work on because insurance was always changing, and new systems or current systems would always need to be tended to for the business and insured users.
You’re leaving us with heavy hearts and you will forever be missed. We love you Mama/Mom/Grandma/Ginger/Gin/Mama G/Spice. Our family. Our friend.
Every year Mom would join this team, and complete the walk. While Alzheimers didn't directly affect Mom, it affected our family. If you want to join this team or donate in honor of her memory.
We had no idea Mom became a member of the Epilepsy Foundation, but we found out after her passing that she was! She always gave to the charities that meant the most to her, and this one clearly became dear to her. If you would like to donate in her honor.
