Seaside, CA. Alden M. Johnson was born August 24. 1934 to Leslie J. and Gladys C. (Larson) Johnson in Hillsboro, WI. He was the youngest of 4 children. He graduated from Cambridge High School in 1952, enlisted in the Army in 1955-1957. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison in 1966. He Settled in Seaside, CA in 1981, loving the climate. Al spent 28 years working for the defense dept. as a computer programmer/analyst until retiring in 1995. He was an avid reader and enjoyed bowling, camping and playing cards. He loved the BMW motorcycle he bought when gas prices were high in 1973. He was 72 when he stopped riding it to Wisconsin to visit family. His philosophy was three fold: Tomorrow will be better. If I’m bored and lonely, it’s my fault. Aches and pains remind me that I’m alive.
He is predeceased by his brother, Jerome L. D. Johnson, and sisters: Marcella Stenjem and Ardrew Sweeney. He is survived by 9 loving nieces and nephews and their families, also a long time special friend, Dr. Tim Friederichs. A celebratrion of life will be held at a later date. Interment will be at Lake Ripley Cemetery, Cambridge, WI
