I remember that we had some great conversations about movies and books.  Dee liked to read, and so did I.  It was always neat listening to her take on a book or a movie.
     I also remember way back when we first moved into SSC.  It was right before lunch and I placed some leftovers, Chicken McNuggets, from the night before, into the microwave to warm up.  While waiting for my lunch to warm up, I thought I would go back to my office to continue working on a project & come back in a few minutes.  Suddenly, the fire alarm went off and we all had to leave the building.  I mean, ALL of us working inside the building had to leave the building!  Standing across the street, we witnessed the fire trucks arrive full on with their sirens blaring.
     After about 20 minutes, we were told we could return to the building.   When we got inside, Dee and I were in the office kitchen and I questioned what might have set off the alarm?  Dee said she heard from the firemen walking by that it was something in the microwave that triggered the alarm & everything was ok.  I thought that was weird!  However, when I went to pull my lunch from the microwave, I pulled out 7 little burnt, black, crinkled-up, smoking balls. Dee & I looked at each other and laughed.  We never for sure knew if those Chicken McNuggets were the culprits for setting off the alarm, but maybe they were?  
     After and often, whenever the fire alarm went off, even if we knew it was just a drill, she would poke her head into my office and say, "Chicken McNuggets?"  I'd like to think this was our little secret.  I could have been wrong, but, this is what I believed then, and I still do, today. 
     Miss you, Dee.  We'll always have the Chicken McNuggets!

Oh Dee what can I say, while I am relieved you are no longer in pain ,I am so heart wrenched you arent here anymore to spread all your love and joy to us. I remember how much you always loved Mom and I, we weren’t just your co-workers but your family. You always included me in all the fun and urged me I could do better when I was making poor decisions. I am so sorry you’ve left us so soon. I hope you’re up there looking out for us and your nieces and nephews. We all still need you. You will be so missed. - Always your Peanut

Oh Dolores.  How I'm going to miss our funny conversations, woman. When I think of you I will always remember the laughs we had over the phone, or singing to Whitney Houston in my car.  I'll always remember the time when you just HAD to tell that cop how handsome he was.  Mario, to this day, calls his over-cooked fries "poo poo fries" because that's what you called them when he was little.  When I picture you in my mind, I will always remember your beautiful smile.  I'm going to miss our conversations & laughter together.  I love you, woman!  You are not in pain anymore. Rest well my dear friend.  Until we meet again. -Elena
