Gertrude "Trudy" Ruth (Winkler) Mills

Trudy was born in Midvale NJ on August 15, 1930. She lived in West Milford NJ while raising her family, and then she retired to Port Charlotte FL with her loving husband John. After many wonderful years in Florida they relocated to California.

Trudy was a good, loving Christian woman who was also a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was an active member of the Newfoundland United Methodist Church in NJ and the Gulf Cove United Methodist Church in Port Charlotte FL. She had a smile that brought joy to all who saw it and she always went out of her way to do something for someone else. She loved entertaining, cooking, baking, and making custom flower arrangements to fit each and all who knew her. Her greatest joy in life was simply being with the people she loved.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband John Mills November 5, 2016.

She is survived by her daughter Cindy and husband Bob, her son David and wife Robin, and her son John, her 6 Grandchildren - Janelle and her husband Darcy, Johnny, Jamie, Kayla, Stephen, and Bob, and her 9 great-grandchildren Avery, Tegan, Bobby, Carter, Jackson, Jenna, Zephyn, Zenna, and Xavia.

She was truly loved by all that knew her, and we were all blessed to have her in our lives.
