James Robert Olivas

Born January 14, 1931, Jim dedicated his life to the field of education. He earned a Master’s in Education and enjoyed a career as a teacher and later an elementary school principal. Jim proudly served his country as a member of the Marines.

While Jim was an avid reader, his favorite moments were those spent with his loved ones, creating cherished memories.

Jim is survived by his sister and brother, Toni and Manny Sanchez, as well as his four loving children: Monica, Lenore, Mark, and James Olivas. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. His family will remember him with love and admiration. Jim was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janet Olivas.

Jim leaves a legacy of kindness, knowledge, and love of family.
