Michael Allen Arky

Michael Allen Arky passed away on April 8, 2025 in Los Gatos, California. He was born on August 23, 1951, to Marshall and Beatrice Arky in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He is survived by his sister Beth Arky (St. Louis, Missouri) and brother Carl (Salt Lake City, Utah).

Michael graduated from University City High School, University City, Missouri in 1969. Following graduation, Michael relocated to the San Francisco Bay area where he attended junior college before starting a career in the moving and storage industry.

Michael loved the Bay Area, its music, food and canines. He loved to take drives on twisting narrow roads through the coastal mountains. He loved old movies and TV shows and once created a video library of programming complete with a user's guide to help someone find exactly what they happened to be looking for in his collection.

Michael's most defining qualities were his gentle kindness, consideration and thoughtfulness as well as his resiliency. Michael was a solitary soul who lived a life of isolation. But he was always friendly and treated everyone with kindness and respect. He never hurt anyone. He treated one and all with kindness. Michael is deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Michael's memory. He favored animal welfare organizations.
