He is survived by his son Ron, and by two sisters and a brother.

He grew up in Modesto, California as the eldest son of a family of 2 sisters and 3 brothers.

He worked as an orderly in a Los Angeles Hospital and Pohl Metal Products during the 50's. He went to Heald Engineering school in the 60's and worked in construction surveying thereafter, with construction companies Haas and Haynie, then with Cahill in the 70's, and with Tutor-Saliba in the 80's and 90's. He was responsible for the layout of many buildings in the Bay Area, largely in San Francisco.

He married Nel Bogaards in 1967, an immigrant from the Netherlands. Their son Ron was born in 1969.

Inurnment will be September 17th at the Walk of Memories in Oakmont Memorial Park & Mortuary in Lafayette.
