Bev was the daughter of E. Lee and Lavinia S. Gamble, and grew up in Newtonville, Massachusetts.
Bev married Thomas Arthur Marlow II (Tom) and together they raised four daughters: Lee, Annie, Elizabeth, and Joanna.
Bev worked in a variety of educational roles. She was the Director of St. Paul’s Cooperative Preschool and taught English as a Second Language in Walnut Creek, California and New York, New York. She was also an active member of the Century Club of California and was a Storyteller at the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco. She spent summers in Megansett, Massachusetts, a place she loved deeply.
Her hobbies included gardening, reading, and sailing. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Tom and other family members to a wide variety of places around the globe.
Bev is survived by her four daughters, their husbands, five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Tom.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Glaucoma Research Foundation or the 300 Committee Land Trust, Falmouth, Massachusetts.
Bev will be remembered fondly by her friends and family. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
