Dean Irvin Giddens

"Dean Giddens was born on June 18th, 1939 in Garfield, Kansas and died on April 8th, 2024 at the age of 84. Dean was a devoted husband, father, and friend to many. He is survived by his Wife of 56 years, Suzanne Giddens, and two sons Paul and John. He has 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Dean served in the Coast Guard from 1960 to 1962 and was stationed on the West Coast of the United States, from Juneau, AK to Alameda, CA to Long Beach, CA.

After his service, Dean worked as a union carpenter for many years before starting his own acoustical contracting business. Throughout his career he was constantly looking to increase efficiency while maintaining high standards of workmanship. He achieved this by improving or inventing tools for specific tasks.

Family was important to Dean, he led by example and shared his wisdom through patience and virtue. His sons had the privilege to work alongside Dean where he imparted his work ethic and attention to detail.

Tapping into his creative talent and spirit, Dean painted, drew, and crafted at home. From home improvement to artistic displays Dean excelled in his ingenuity which has been passed down generations."
