Jose was born May 12th, 1924, in Havana, Cuba to Bernabe and Silvina Ponce. His career was primarily in the airline industry, which he worked in for over 50 years, and it gave him great joy and had a great affinity for aircraft. He excelled in overseeing business operations, demonstrating a natural knack for leadership and a sharp eye for detail.
In addition to his professional success, he was a generous individual who valued his relationships with his family. He had a love for travel, having explored destinations throughout Europe, Asia, and the U.S. Whether he was discovering new places or spending time with loved ones, Jose had a profound zest for life. His other interests included carpentry, mechanics, classical music, and classic cars.
He devoted much of his time and energy to his creative pursuits: painting, cooking, and designing. His charm and humor were tremendous and made a lasting impression on all who knew him. His generosity, good humor, and loyalty will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Sonia, and two sons, Pierre and Philippe, as well as two granddaughters, Alina and Iris.
