Richard Andre Christo

Richard is survived by his loving wife Cathy, of 57 years, son Eric (Anne Charlotte), daughter, Lisa (Angelo) Calub and his brother Anthony (Cathi). He was blessed with three grandchildren, Victor and Margo Calub and Evan Christo.

After graduating from Benicia High School, Richard served four years in the Navy. He then was employed by the Yuba, Richmond Boat Works, Kaiser Offshore and Construction, and was Sr. Project Manager for several electrical engineering firms, ending his career managing his own electrical consulting business.

Richard enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and hiking. The last 10 years he was very involved with the Solano Land Trust, leading hikes and maintaining trails. While at home, he was never idle for long as he busied himself with fine woodworking and gardening. He also enjoyed cooking, making homemade sausages, and vinegar.

Things men have made with wakened hands, and

put soft life into are awake through years with

transferred touch, and go on glowing for long years.

And for this reason, some old things are lovely warm

still with the life of forgotten men who made them.
