Richard Edwin Jones

He will be remembered by his daughter Julie Sauro; son Jared Jones; grandchildren: Sabrina Bender and Jozef Jones. He was the oldest of 14 siblings, 7 brothers and 7 sisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Herbert Jones and Muriel Marble; siblings: Donna and David Marble; and infant son, Richard E. Jones Jr.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Sergeant, where he received the Purple Heart for injuries from combat in Vietnam. After his discharge, he was employed as a parking attendant for 27 years. He did volunteer work in his community. He was a Commander of various associations at Suisun Veterans Memorial Building, I.E. American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans and the Military Order of the Purple Heart.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, on Monday, November 29, 2021 at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon, California.
