1942 -2022
We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our loved one on December 18, 2022 . Ron was diagnosed with vascular Dementia in 2016.
Ron was born in 1942 in Hot Springs SD. He grew up in Custer SD in the Black Hills and was raised by his grandparents, Lee and Maude Burrow. He married his high school sweetheart, Jerri Evans, and they moved to California in 1961. They settled in the small community of El Sobrante where he lived until his death. In 1967 their son Kyle was born and in 1971 daughter, Jennifer. Ron was a devoted father and he had a great love for his family. We will miss him more than words can express.
Ron’s first job in California was as a carpet installer. In 1972 he started his own floorcovering business.
In early 2000 he decided he was ready for a change. He bought a fishing boat, commercial salmon license and went to work as a commercial fisherman.
Ronnie had a great sense of humor and he loved life. He was also a great story teller, especially stories about his fishing trips. He fished up and down the California coast and fishing trips to British Columbia and Mexico. He also liked to restore old cars and boats and he could fix almost anything. His dad called
him the eternal optimist.
Ron is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jerri; son, Kyle, El Sobrante; daughter, Jennifer and granddaughter Madison, Petaluma, Ca. His sister Zonda DiGiovanni of Springfield, Or., brother, Ken Burrow of Atlanta Ga and several nieces and nephews.
