Selden Henry Parmelee Jr, aged 76, passed away in a Walnut Creek, CA , hospital Monday, June 27, 2022. He was born in El Paso, Texas on September 21, 1945. He grew up in El Paso, attending grade school and high school . Selden was a veteran, enlisting in the U.S. Army in November 1962 and served for three years. After serving he attended Florida Technological University, graduating in August 1970. Upon graduating, he worked in the HVAC industry for several years in Colorado enjoying sailing and skiing before moving to the San Francisco Bay area, becoming founder and owner of Bayside HVAC. He continued his love of sailing on San Francisco Bay and Baja Mexico. After retirement he enjoyed travelling all over the world with his dear companions, Carmel (deceased) and Julia to Russia, China, Cuba and India as an avid photographer. He won many awards for his photographs in the Contra Costa County Camera club as well as the Rossmoor Camera Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Selden Henry Parmelee Sr. and Josephine Scott Parmelee. Survivors include five half siblings. One of which he became close to late in life, Gene Brinks. He had many cousins and friends who will greatly miss his easy-going personality.
