TODD ALAN REDFIELD, 77, of Martinez, California, passed away on November 2, 2019. Born on March 16, 1942, in Richmond, California to Melvin and Thais Williams Redfield, (both pre-deceased), Todd is survived by his sister Lynn Redfield Boardman and niece Dana Boardman of Lafayette. He graduated in 1959 from Harry Ells High School in Richmond, and went on to receive an AA degree in Business Administration from Contra Costa College in 1962. He also attended Armstrong Business College. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1963 to 1969.
Todd had a strong talent for numbers, working as the Regional Accounting Supervisor and Financial Analyst for International Harvester in Oakland from 1964 to 1982, including a 2-year stint in the Portland, Oregon office as a District Business Manager. He was Vice President of Finance for Edgewater International Trucks in San Leandro from 1982 to 1998 and then worked as Controller for Bayshore International Trucks in Hayward from 1998 until 2012 when he retired.
Todd was an avid golfer and spent countless hours golfing with friends. One of his favorite golfing memories was traveling to Scotland in 2008 to play the legendary golf courses, including St. Andrew’s Golf Course. In addition to golf, he was a passionate sports fan with an exceptional talent for analyzing sports statistics. He was also a gifted artist, sketching an impressive likeness of his subjects, and painting beautiful landscapes. He also loved animals, especially his beloved cat Amos.
He touched many lives with his terrific sense of humor, unforgettable laugh, and knack for brightening everyone’s day. We will miss him dearly – a special light has disappeared from our lives.
