2025 San Jose, California
Sadly, Dan passed away from congestive heart failure and respiratory issues. He was preceded in death by his son Edwin, daughter Deborah and two grandchildren, Ray and Megan. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Yvonne, his son Alan (Geri), daughter Jeanette, daughter Valerie (Scott) and son-in-law Rick as well as seven surviving grandchildren Alita (Chad), Amy (Ryan), Angela, Jessica, Jamie (Marah), Taylor (Tom) and Brennen. He also had 16 great grandchildren.
After more than 20 years in the army, he had several occupations. His most notable employments were 9 1/2 years with an envelope company and 10 years running the pro shop at Alma Bowling Alley.
He was an avid sports fan. His main interests were watching sports on television, playing bocce ball and bowling, which he did for numerous years along with enjoying playing golf in previous years. He belonged to the Sons in Retirement Club and a Model A club for several years. He very much enjoyed getting together with friends, of which he had many.
He loved to joke around and tease, his laughter and sparkling blue eyes will be remembered with much fondness. His grandchildren still talk about how he would jump into the pool to join them while fully clothed just to get a reaction.
He has been and will remain very much loved and missed by his family and cherished friends.
May he rest in peace.
