It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John C. Davalos, a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished friend, who left us peacefully, surrounded by his family on October 6, 2025.
Born on July 31, 1934, son of Angelo and Alice Davalos, he grew up in Santa Paula, CA and upon graduation from San Jose State settled in San Jose and then Morgan Hill for the last 43 years. John carried the values of kindness, hard work, and compassion throughout his life.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret, and his children, Deena Davalos, Lisa Davalos and John Michael Davalos, and grandson Samuel Ogan. His legacy of love and dedication to his family will live in their hearts forever.
John was a man of great character and integrity. He touched the lives of many with his generosity, humor, and gentle spirit. He had a passion for football, gardening and traveling. He worked for Safeway Stores for 37 years before retiring in 1997. Thereafter, he enjoyed traveling to Europe, Hawaii, and cruises. He also found great joy in friends and family celebrations.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the many memories we share and the love that will remain with us always. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
May he always smile upon us.
