It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joy McCullough Ware, a devoted educator, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to so many, who left an indelible mark on the lives of those she touched.
For over three decades, Joy dedicated her life to shaping young minds as a teacher, inspiring generations of students with her patience, kindness, and unwavering commitment to education. Her love for learning and her passion for teaching earned her the respect and admiration of colleagues, parents, and students alike.
Throughout her life, Joy embodied the values of kindness, compassion, and generosity that made her such an extraordinary person. Her legacy of love and teaching continues to inspire those around her, reminding us all of the importance of nurturing the next generation and fostering a sense of community and connection.
We take comfort in the memories we shared with Joy, from family gatherings and holiday celebrations to quiet moments of support and encouragement. We will cherish the laughter, the tears, and the countless moments she enriched our lives with her presence.
Joy is survived by her loving family, including sister Ciji Ware, children Paul, Katherine, Andrew and Laura, grandchildren Leahkim, Sarah, Elizabeth, James, Catherine, Nicholas, Alexandra and Maria, great-grandchildren Conner and Willem, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will deeply miss her.
A celebration of Joy's life will be held at The Chateau Cupertino on January 17, 2025 at 2:00 pm. All are welcome to join us in sharing stories, memories, and tributes to this remarkable woman.
Rest in peace, dear Joy. Your love, kindness, and legacy will forever be remembered and cherished by all who knew you.
