Lupe was a woman who defined herself by the connections and contradictions she made and the horizons she explored. To her family and friends, she was a chameleon of care—serving as a wise counselor, a steady friend, and a spirited travel companion. She possessed an adventurous heart and a legendary appetite for life, always the first to volunteer to try a new cuisine or board a plane to a distant land.
Her passport told the story of a life well-lived, with her journeys to Paris, Mexico, and India standing as particular highlights. Yet, Lupe was just as happy with the simple joys of a flight to Arizona or a weekend getaway to Tahoe. No matter how far she traveled, her favorite destination was always wherever her loved ones were. A visit from a family member didn't just brighten her day; it truly made her week.
Lupe’s greatest legacy is the sprawling, vibrant family she leaves behind. She is survived by her six adult children George, Carlos, Adrian, Alexandra, Carmen and Veronica. 11 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren, all of whom carry a piece of her adventurous spirit with them.
