Milton “Milt” Wehrman, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully December 16, 2024. Born on March 31, 1946, in Natchez, Mississippi, Milt’s life was defined by a deep connection to history, family, and culture.
Raised in Dallas, Texas, Milt had what he often reminisced on as being an idyllic childhood. Here he attended Highland Park High School and was a member of the 1964 graduating class – he always looked forward to attending the reunions. His love for sports, especially football, was nurtured there. Milt went on to earn a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from Southern Methodist University (SMU) and later an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University.
In the early 1970s, Milt began a successful career in the semiconductor industry, working at companies like Texas Instruments, Intel, National, Siemens, and Infineon. His career was marked by innovation and achievement, leaving a lasting impact on the technology sector.
Milt was known for his playful side, and passion for music. In retirement, he was a party DJ, delighting guests with the classic R&B, Blues, Soul, and early Rock ‘n’ Roll music he fell in love with as a boy.
Milt embraced travel, golf, and community service. He was an active member of the Cupertino Rotary Club, where he made a difference through international service trips. He was also a longtime member of Sons in Retirement (SIR), through which he met many fellow avid golfers.
Milt is survived by his wife of 44 years, Nancy; his two daughters and son-in-law; two beloved grandchildren; and many friends who will miss his warm heart, quick wit, and ever-joyful spirit.
Milt’s parting message, a testament to his zest for life, was to travel as much as possible and cherish the memories made. He will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
