Donna Lynn Montoya passed away on June 30, 2022, with her loving husband Mark holding her hands. Donna was born on May 12, 1959, in Castro Valley, California to Carol (Etlin) and Don Beauregard who preceded her in death.
Donna led a life of adventure, loving to travel and experience her independence. Donna joined a circus and travelled around Mexico, becoming very fond of the horses and elephants she worked with. Donna later travelled as a flight attendant meeting new people, seeing unfamiliar places, and learning to navigate the different cities she visited. She became a Regional Property Supervisor for San Diego, Orange, Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Riverside Counties. Donna led a team of people who enjoyed working for her, as well as with her. Donna’s sense of putting people at ease, and her professional work ethic ensured she was successful in everything she did.
Donna enjoyed traveling with her husband and family. She loved to ski, scuba dive, and especially go boating with her husband and children. Donna loved red roses and purple orchids, keeping up a beautiful succulent and tropical garden at home. She was a lover of all creatures, taking care of each one of her dogs; Angel, Grizzly, Little Bear, Oso, Thunder Paws and Peanut, the cats Fluffy and Tiger and Squirtle the tortoise.
Donna loved hosting gatherings with her husband for family and friends ensuring everyone could swim, eat well, and enjoy her home when they came to visit. Donna loved to dance, she and Mark often ventured out to find good music, good wine and make everlasting memories together. Donna and Mark enjoyed traveling spending time together, whether that be weekend escapes to Las Vegas or long getaways that were most always somewhere near the sea. Donna and Mark would travel to Mexico to dive and swim together, to Oahu and Maui to swim with the ocean turtles, and yearly trips to Catalina on her boat to watch the dolphins, seals, and an occasional whale. Donna loved the ocean so much, changing her swimming pool to salt water but adding gold flake in the bottom to remind Mark of the rivers in Colorado where he grew up fishing.
Donna met Mark Montoya on her birthday in 1998, and from the first time they saw each other, she knew they were meant to be together forever. On May 12, 2000, Donna decided she wanted to celebrate her birthday in a memorable way. On that day, Donna and Mark were married, becoming husband and wife after exchanging their loving vows in a private ceremony in Las Vegas, Nevada.
On July 27th, 2002, Donna and Mark renewed their wedding vows, this time with family and friends, on a yacht in Newport Harbor. Donna and Mark loved each other immensely and were devoted to one another until she passed away. Donna was never far apart from Mark, even after her car accident in 2011 and the onset of her illness in 2015, which began to slowly change Donna’s life forever.
Donna is beloved and cherished forever by her loving husband Mark, her son Christopher, her daughter Chelsea Garcia, her siblings; Keith Beauregard (Sherri Drain), Nanette (Jim) Kuenzi, Brenda Beauregard, John Beauregard and numerous nieces and nephews. Donna’s in-law siblings love her and will miss her immensely.
Donna was always welcoming and kind, had the most amazing smile, and a wonderful laugh. Donna was a beautiful woman with a very beautiful heart and will be missed, but never forgotten.
