It’s with profound sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of our
beloved daughter Evan Faylice Rachel Brown, who was taken from us too
soon on January 7, 2023. She was surrounded by her mother Brenda, brother
Norman Jr. and partner, Nick.
Evan Faylice Rachel Brown was born on April 13, 1991 in La Habra, CA to
Norman and Brenda Brown and spent the majority of her years growing up in
the South Bay area.
Evan attended First Lutheran Middle School and graduated from El Segundo
High School. Afterwards, she studied at the Fashion Institute of Design &
Merchandising in San Francisco, CA. Upon her return to the Los Angeles area
in 2014, Evan became a marketing professional with a career spanning across
companies such as Spongellé, DFS Airport Stores, Boyfriend Perfume, and
Digital Media Management. During her time at Digital Media Management,
she was consistently recognized for her strong passion and dedication to her
work, and reached the position of Digital Media Manager, where she worked
directly with many high-profile clients such as NETFLIX.
Evan was presently living in Huntington Beach, CA with her partner of 6 years,
Nick Alba, to whom she was planning to marry, along with their loving - yet
demanding Siamese cat, Paris. Evan loved the sunshine and the beach, and
was at her best when surrounded by friends with an extra-dirty, extra-olive
martini in her hand. Evan lived life to the fullest and always jumped at the
opportunity to experience something new. She had an intelligent and curious
mind, which inspired her love of travel. Some of her favorite locations were
Cancun, New York, Las Vegas, and Hawaii.
Evan always prioritized her family, friends and God. She never hesitated to
give anything and everything to those she loved. Her light shined brightly in
this world, and that light touched all that were fortunate enough to know her.
Evan was an authentic example of selflessness and love. She will be forever
remembered for her beautiful smile, her sassiness, big laugh and even bigger
heart. Though taken from us too soon, the impact she had on the lives of her
loved ones will remain always.
Evan is survived by her parents, Norman and Brenda; stepmother, Vivian;
Uncle, Dwayne, and Aunt Stephanie; brothers, Norman Jr, Nolan (June),
Anthony, and Nicholas and her sister Candice (Jose). Her nieces, Dominique,
Sophia and Autumn; nephews Stephan, Jayden, Landon and Dominic. She is
preceded in death by her grandmothers, Lee Ester and Faylice; great aunt,
Judy (Lewis); and aunt, Debbie. Evan also leaves behind her twin cousins, Erin
and Erica, and a host of other loved ones.
Evan will forever be remembered by all who loved her.
