Judith Kay Weiss

Judi was 81 years old, having been born on November 18, 1940 in Denver, Colorado. She was the second of three children born to Rhedoy Daniel and Virginia Heck. After graduating from North High School in Denver, Judi earned her Bachelors Degree in English from Western State University in Gunnison, Colorado. It was there that she met her husband, Steve Weiss. After their marriage, they moved to Southern California, where they settled in Fountain Valley in 1964.

On June 2, 2022, Judi and Steve celebrated 60 years of marriage!

Judi is survived by her husband and soul mate, Steve; her two children, Michele Barilla and Michael Weiss; her son-in-law, Chris Barilla; her daughter-in-law, Angie Weiss; and her three grandchildren, Nico Barilla and Trevor & Madison Weiss.

Judi is also survived by her younger brother Bill Heck and nieces Laura and Sarah; two brothers-in-law by marriage, Bud and Jack; and four sisters-in-law by marriage, Harriet, Clarice, Barbara and Kathy; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her father- and mother-in-law, Paul and Iola Weiss; her older brother Ron Heck; brothers-in-law David Brownlee and Floyd Boone; sisters-in-law Erica Heck and Judi Heck; and nephews David Boone, Peter Heck and niece, Marykaye Boone Rider.

Judi was a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, friend, student, teacher and an all-around beautiful Angel on Earth. She will be missed for her quick wit, her corny sense of humor, her gentle demeanor, her fierce spirit, her endearing stubbornness and her happy disposition. Her ears were always ready to listen; and, her heart was as big as the galaxies are wide!

Family and friends will be celebrating Judi's life on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.
