

Andre Alfred Hasenbein passed away at home on May 2, 2026, surrounded by his loving family, in Chino Hills, California. He was born on July 17, 1955 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada to his German parents, Franz “Alfred” and Ingetraut Hasenbein. He was one of two children. The family immigrated to the United States driving from Edmonton through the Sweet Grass, Montana point of entry in May of 1961. They drove to California and settled in Anaheim, California. Andre attended Dr. Peter Marshall Elementary School, Crescent Jr. High and Savanna High School graduating in 1973.
Andre attended Fullerton College before starting a 40 year career (machinist to engineering technician) at Northrop Grumman, aerospace and defense technology, in Anaheim which then moved to Redondo Beach. He also became a United States citizen in 1985.
Andre moved to the Chino/Chino Hills area 45 years ago and remained a long time resident. He went on to marry Diane Marie Iantorno on August 31, 1991 in Anaheim, CA after meeting on a blind date.
Andre was a dedicated husband and loving father of five children. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his rescue dog Maddie, RV camping (in Big Bear, Bolsa Chica, Sycamore Canyon, Morro Bay), offroading in his VW Bug, riding motorcycles, tinkering and machining in his garage, hunting for good deals online, visiting with family, watching a good happy-ending Hallmark movie and eating his favorite In-N-Out.
Andre will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Al and Inge. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Diane Hasenbein; daughter Sarah Hirst, her husband Joel, grandkids Evan and Abbey of Eastvale, CA; son Aaron “Steve” Hasenbein, his wife Ruthie, grandkids Peyton, Anthony, Laney and great-granddaughter MaddieMae of Boiling Springs, PA; son Adam Hasenbein, his wife Natasha, grandkids Josiah and Adalynn of Bedford, TX; son John Hasenbein and his wife Nina of Fontana, CA and son Christopher Hasenbein of Chino Hills, CA. Andre is also survived by his younger brother Gordon and his wife Beth Hasenbein of San Clemente, CA.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later time.
