It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Cynthia Jean Hall, who departed this world on March 4, 2026, at the age of 67. Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on May 1, 1958, she was the daughter of Calvin J. Hubbard and Marjorie Joyce (Hubbard) Carter, the second child of four and the oldest daughter. It was said that May 1st was a blustery day the year she was born—a gentle hint of the spirited woman she would become. From the very beginning, it seemed she was destined to follow her own path and shape life in her own beautiful way.
Cyndi grew up in Minnesota and worked as a waitress through high school. In her early twenties, she married Marty Trieschmann. Though their journey together would end, she always held a special place in her heart for her first love and often reminisced about that chapter of her life with warmth. Her compassion for others led her to pursue her LPN, dedicating her career to caring for individuals with mental disabilities. Her love for her work was evident as she often spent her days off taking her patients out to enjoy the world around them.
She later moved to El Paso, Texas, where she found companionship and married Donovan Limar in 1980. Together they welcomed two children, Nathaniel James and Naomi Laura. The family later relocated to San Bernardino, California. Though they parted ways in 1989, Cyndi and Donovan remained friends and co-parents to their two children. In 1993, Cyndi welcomed her third child, Dana Catherine. From 1998 to 2005, Cyndi worked as a nurse in a home for the elderly. She embraced the quiet rhythm of overnight shifts with warmth and creativity, turning those nights into playful “sleepovers,” complete with secret ice cream treats and a glass of apple cider shared with everyone each New Year’s Eve. She cared deeply for her children, and beginning in 2005, Cyndi embraced one of the greatest joys of her life: becoming a grandmother. The walls of her home and her social media pages were filled with photos of her growing family, and she never missed a chance to express how proud she was to call them hers.
Cyndi’s favorite color was yellow, and she had a special love for yellow roses and plants of all kinds. There was not a single plant that didn’t flourish under her touch. She even accidentally grew a palm tree in the corner of her garden. She adored animals, showering her dogs—Blade, Andy Man, and Toby—with love, and she never forgot her beloved childhood cat, Mittens. She also loved baking and always insisted on making her famous Hershey Kiss cookies for the holidays.
Cyndi was preceded in death by her father, Calvin; her stepfather, Thomas; and her sister, Laura. She is survived by her mother, Marge; her brothers, John and Steve; her children, Nathaniel, Naomi, and Dana; and her ten cherished grandchildren: Aiden, Landon, Drake, Jaydin, Ronnie, London, Magenta, Amilia, Hayden, and Alina.
A service to celebrate Cyndi’s life will be held on April 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Lighthouse Christian Church, 1122 S State St., San Jacinto, California 92583. Following the service, family and friends are invited to share a meal together at Rocking K Ranch, 3969 W Florida Ave, Hemet, California 92545.
