He loved entertaining, writing, reading speaking, dancing, and most of all traveling with his wife, Phyllis.
Dan was a product of "the Greatest Generation"; known for his intellect, but also as a gentleman. He had a quick wit and a great sense of humor that continued until his death.
His love for his wife, as well as their romance, was endless.
He lived life to the fullest, and he will be greatly missed by friends and family.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis, son Fred (wife Victoria), daughter, Pamela Franzen, grandson Erik Franzen, granddaughter, Elise Nolan (husband Ryan) and 4 great grandchildren, Gavin Nolan, Jordan Nolan, Joshua Nolan, and William Nolan.
His celebration of life was in California on June 14, 2018.
