Deborah Lynn Jones

Deborah Lynn Jones left this life to embrace the Lord Our Savior on August 6, 2026 in her home in Temecula, California. She came into this world on November 16, 1953 (Los Angeles, California). Deb was the first child of Beverly Joan Jordan (Avery), her mother, who preceded her in death (July 24, 2015).

In her childhood years she was raised by one of her Aunts and her Grandmother (Blanch Jordan). Deb being the oldest of the daughters had the responsibility of keeping her younger sisters in line. Deb loved her “some Grandma Blanch,” she enjoyed her time with her and all the card parties that her Grandmother & Grandfather would have at their home.

After High School Deb attended college and pursued employment and eventually ended up working for AT&T while scooting around SoCal in a convertible MG sports car. She had moved to Florida and finally Colorado where she met the love of her life (Reginald Jones)

This love between Reg & Deb conceived 2 sons ( Reginald Jones II & Jamil Jafe Jones), several doberman pinchers, and a rottweiler which brought joy & vicarious moments, that she happily was able to look back on and laugh at. Deb provided a safe & strong structural environment at home for her husband & children, whom she loved so much. But wait, that love is not over yet, now entering the world are her 4 grandchildren who have left us with many memories, some captured on camera & video others remain in our minds. These grandchildren were an additional source of pride in her loving life.

By profession, Deb was a Manager at every Corporate company that she had worked for, AT&T, TeleCheck, Liberty Mutual Insurance, while being a “top Chef, mother & wife”, she was beloved by all that met her. Deborah is a child of God, her strong faith & belief in Jesus Christ gave her the strength she needed to get through her many illnesses over the years, you just couldn’t keep her down, no matter what she kept her faith in God. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Denver, Colorado and when we moved to SoCal she became a member of Bayview Baptist Church in San Diego, California.

Deborah could not stop talking about our trip to Kauai, “the smoked bacon she had to have every morning that we were there.” Jamaica was another experience with food & such. San Juan, Puerto Rico where we & our friends saw a UFO. Deb enjoyed the time we spent alone with each other and our friends as well as the children. Deb enjoyed reading, and loved the sounds of the ocean. Until her last breath Deb extended grace and love to others around her; and during her fight with every illness she showed love and generosity, constantly saying “thank you, and I love you.” Her resilience and generosity will continue to live on through her family.

Those family members & relatives left to cherish her memory are her loving & devoted husband (Reginald Jones, Temecula, California) both in our 2nd marriage, we were together for 48 yrs,

married for 44 years as of 2026. Two sons, Reginald Jones II of Northglenn, Colorado, Jamil Jafe Jones of San Diego, Californnia; stepgranddaughter Lily Mercardo, San Diego, California; grandson Kai Arion Jones, Spring Valley, California; Amiri Noelle Jones, Northglenn, Colorado; Mikah Jones, Spring Valley, California. 3 sisters, Tracey Avery of Hollywood, California; Alicia Avery of Rancho Bernardo, California; Cherisse Avery of Sparks, Nevada & a host of nieces, nephews, cousins & other family members & relatives & close friends.
