1997 as a Cost Engineer at the General Office in Rosemead, CA.

Doug was a true-blue fan of Dodger Baseball,he loved classical music, Gregorian Chant, International
Folk music, Joe Bonamassa Blues and 60's rock and roll music.
He was a Bible believing, spirit filled Christian and a convert to the Catholic faith. He was a parishioner
at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Palm Desert, CA, where he attended the Latin Mass faithfully each
week.
In his 30's and 40's Doug traveled the world with his wife visiting many states in North America,
traveling to Central and South America and touring Greece, Israel, Egypt and Turkey and many countries
in Europe. He enjoyed sipping High Tea dressed in a business suit at world class hotels in downtown
San Francisco and drinking fine wines in Calistoga and the Napa Valley.
Doug spent over 15 years driving his family to dog agility shows throughout the United States and he
enjoyed touring the country with his wife and their 3 Shetland Sheepdogs in a Chevy Cargo Van. His
wife was the dog handler and he mapped out courses and played with the dogs while she prepared for
events. Life-long memories were formed at AKC agility shows and Doug enjoyed every minute of a trial
day, helping his wife Gina get the dogs ready to be judged in numerous canine agility rings and chatting
with wonderful dog parents.
Palm Desert was his home for 23 years. Prior to moving to the desert, he and his wife resided in San
Clemente, CA for 12 years. Both Doug and Gina worked at the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station.
While living in Orange County, he enjoyed surf fishing and walking the dogs from the San Clemente Pier
to Dana Point, it was a lovely place to live.
Doug was the first one to begin daily prayers each morning prior to Bible study and praying The Most
Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary. His favorite Bible passage was from Ephesians 6: 12-18, The Full
Armor of God. He would say: Thank you Lord for the Helmet of Salvation for we can have the Mind of
Christ, thank you for the Breastplate of Righteousness for we want to be and we need to be in right-standing with Christ Jesus. Thank you that our loins are gird up with truth and our feet are shod with
Gospel of Peace,so we won't stumble; And we won't stumble because we have your Word which is
perfect, pure and complete and what a Mighty Sword it makes. Moreover, we thank you for the Shield
of Faith and the Sword of the Spirit to stop all the fiery darts of the devil. No weapon formed against us
will prosper, you have rebuked the devourer for our sake. Amen.
