Born on March 5, 1937, in Redondo Beach, California, to Glenn and Jeannette Sexton, Glen was one of four children and grew up in South Gate. He participated in the Sea Scouts and Boy Scouts, competed on his high school track team, was active in the First Baptist Church youth group, and enjoyed working on cars and construction projects with his father. He graduated from South Gate High School.
After graduation, Glen helped found Sexton Construction Framing Company with his father and two brothers, building tract and custom homes throughout Southern California. Although he explored other careers for a time, he ultimately returned to construction, becoming a respected general contractor and home builder. He also developed a passion for aviation, earning his private pilot's license and later becoming a certified flight instructor.
On September 22, 1978, Glen married the love of his life, Lucy, in Torrance, California. They met at a company Christmas party and shared a love of music, travel, and adventure. Together they enjoyed flying, visiting family, and traveling the country in their motorhome.
Glen also enjoyed aerobatic flying, tennis, golf, fishing, and hiking. He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, strong work ethic, and devotion to his family.
Glen was preceded in death by his sister, Beverly, and his son, Joel. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lucy; his brothers, Dan and Ron; and his children, Daniel, Tamara, Clarissa, Stacey, and Shaun.
