Jean Carolyn Gordon

Jean Carolyn ( Lynn ) Gordon 97 peacefully passed away on March 3, 2026 in Palm Desert, California. She was born on November 9, 1928 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to her parents Martin and Marie Darkenwald. She was the youngest of three girls.

The family moved to California where she graduated from Los Angeles High School. She went on to act and dance for MGM studios. Lynn married soon after and had two daughters and one son. She was a dedicated wife and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She had a knack for letter writing and kept in touch with everyone, she never forgot a birthday!

Lynn loved to travel… she visited many countries, however Hawaii was her favorite destination. She could strike up a conversation with anyone.

She was definitely a vibrant lady full of life, humor and gusto. She was charming, vivacious, loyal and generous. She will be greatly missed from all of us that loved her.

She was preceded in passing by her mother and father, her sisters Sue Ann and Ruth and her son Christian.

She is survived by her two daughters, Sherolyn Anderson and Elissa Grigar, her granddaughter, Michelle Amato, three great-grandchildren, Christiana, Michael and Christopher and a great-great granddaughter, Jasper.
