June Ellen Swaim

June E. Swaim, beloved wife, mother, performer, and hostess extraordinaire, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2026 after a courageous battle with Parkinson's disease. She was surrounded by family and the love that defined her entire life.

For 56 years, June and her husband Bob built a marriage rooted in joy, adventure, and the simple pleasure of gathering people around them. She was a woman who lit up a room—whether she was on stage as a singer and performer, on stage pitching the latest car model at an auto show, in front of a camera as a model, or in her own home hosting the kind of parties people still talk about. Friends and family remember her uncanny ability to make everyone feel welcomed and fed at any gathering.

Even after stepping away from the stage, June’s love of performance never left her. She missed the spotlight, the music, the thrill of connection with an audience. But she found new stages throughout her life, in the way she hosted gatherings, the way she celebrated friends with thoughtfully chosen gifts, and the way she commanded a card table with charm and competitive spirit. She was a stage mom and recognized Girl Scout leader of the year.

In her later years, June and Bob became seasoned travelers, exploring the world together with dear friends and creating the kind of memories that last a lifetime.

June is survived by her devoted husband Bob; her daughter Samantha Swaim and her daughter-in-law Kristin Steele; her brother Drew Lorimer III; her beloved nieces Kristyn Swaim-Gomez and Melissa Swaim Campos, who were daughters to her in every way, and their extended families Rudy Gomez, Alexandria Gomez, Aniessa Gomez, Ariana Campos, Rudy Gomez Jr., and Savannah Campos. She was preceded in death by her daughter Vanessa Noel Swaim; her parents Andrew Lorimer Jr. and Joy Yates Lorimer; and her sister Nancy Hammontree.
