Linda Lucille Showalter

Linda L. Showalter, age 83, passed away January 19, 2026 peacefully in her sleep at her home in Temecula, California.

Born on September 13, 1942 in Ohio to Orrie and Anna Berridge.

Linda was a woman of an immense family, born into a large and vibrant circle that remained the center of her world throughout her 83 years. A dedicated homemaker, Linda spent 54 years in a devoted marriage to her husband Charles Showalter. Together, they raised four children and saw their family tree grow to include seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She found joy in the quiet beauty of nature around her, the simple pleasures of fresh air, sunlight, and peaceful surroundings, taking walks through gardens and tree lined paths. Linda’s Life was defined by the warmth of the home she kept and the steady love she provided to every generation.

She is survived by:

Her children: John Showalter, Janita Younker (Robert), Timothy Showalter (Tina). Her grandchildren: Brian Showalter, Jenny Younker-Weichel, Kristy Taylor, Jonathan Showalter, Charles Showalter, Timothy Showalter Jr., Tonya Showalter. Her great-grandchildren: Aurora Showalter, Aiden Taylor, Kinsley Taylor, Serenity Showalter, Asher Weichel, Isabella Showalter. As well as 13 of her brothers and sisters.

Linda is now reunited with those who went before her, including her mother and father, her husband Charles Showalter, her son Brian Showalter, and 3 of her siblings.

She will be missed dearly, and her love will be remembered forever.
