Michael was my cousin. Our families grew up just a few short miles from each other. He was 2 yrs older than me. He played bass guitar as we were growing up. He was always an independent person. I believed he was expelled from high school for long hair maybe the late 60’s.His father had a  fatal heart attack at 44 yrs old in1967. I always secretly worried about this for him although my side of the family has this in our background. The last time he was in town was  August last year. We grew up in Highland Park IL. He was in town for a class reunion even though he didn’t graduate high school. We had lunch with 3 of his long time friends and then visited the Botanic Gardens for the afternoon. It was a fine day. I am so so sad by his loss.
