

Sally Ann Louise Shephard age 87 passed away on September 18, 2026 with her daughter at her side. She was born on August 8, 1939 in Riverside, California where she was raised and spent much of her life surrounded by family, friends, animals and the community she loved. Sally loved her school years, she loved her horse and rode it to school every day.
Sally shared 40 years of marriage with the love of her life Michael l Shephard. Together they built a life grounded on hard work, adventure and devotion to their family. Sally was a loving mother of two children and a caring stepmother to three, she welcomed each of them with warmth and acceptance. Sally was also a beloved grandmother and a dear friend to many.
Her varied career reflected her energy, determination and ability to connect with others. Sally worked for Stater Bro's markets during the 1970's before becoming a realtor, where her strong work ethic and warm personality served her well.
Her love of animals was another defining part of her life. Sally operated Wildwood Kennels in California and Sedalia, MO. Sally raised miniature pinschers with pride and dedication. During the 18 years she lived in Sedalia she also ran a beef ranch, embracing the responsibilities and rewards of rural life.
Sally's commitment to young people was equally meaningful from 1970-1976. She raised pigs and piglets for the North high school FFA and 4-H programs. As a beloved "fair mom" she was always ready to lend a hand, offer encouragement or help a young exhibitor succeed. Sally's generosity and steadfast support made her more than a mentor to many students; she also became a trusted and cherished part of their lives.
Sally served as a president of the Rose club in both Riverside and Sedalia with her extensive knowledge of flowers and birds.
Sally will be deeply missed by her family, friends, fellow animal and gardening enthusiasts companions and all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Sally was a beloved wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother and friend. Her memory will remain a source of comfort and inspiration to everyone who lover her.
Sally and her beloved husband will be laid to rest together reunited in eternal peace.
