

Tom was born on June 16, 1939, the second of five children to Earl and Ruth Stone in Stamford, Connecticut. He married Joan Reynolds in 1960 and is survived by her and four children. Scott of Portland, Maine, Mark of London, UK and Miami, Florida, Beth of Taylors, South Carolina, Jeffrey of Austin, Texas, 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Tom was in the Air Force and attended the University of Maine. After being discharged from the service, he was employed by Xerox Corporation in Rochester, New York and Stamford, Connecticut for 33 years.
After retirement, Tom moved to California and married Joan Baxter-Stone, who survives him. They lived on the golf course at Menifee Lakes Country Club for 20 years and were members of the Men’s and Women’s Golf Clubs. Tom had many interests including golf, photography, traveling, running, he ran in the Boston Marathon in 1989, he also had a pilot’s license and enjoyed flying. In 2018, they moved to Rancho Mirage where they enjoyed all that the Palm Springs area had to offer. Tom was a Volunteer at Eisenhower Hospital.
In 2023, they moved to Bella Villaggio, an assisted living facility in Palm Desert. Tom was a happy man. We miss you, Tom.
