David was a wonderful husband to my sister Mary, a devoted Christian, and seemed to be a man who lived his faith through the way he treated others. Although I did not know him as intimately as many did, I always enjoyed the time we spent together.

David and I shared a love of cars and mechanical things. As a lifelong mechanic and teacher, he had a wealth of knowledge and experience, and our conversations often drifted to automobiles, especially since I spent my career with General Motors. He never missed an opportunity to poke a little fun at some of GM’s more infamous products, and those good-natured exchanges always brought smiles. 

He also loved riding his Moto Guzzi motorcycle through the beautiful hills around Sacramento. I would tease him that he wasn’t riding a “real” motorcycle because, of course, my Harley was the only real motorcycle. David always took the ribbing in stride. 

One of my favorite memories is the few times we got to hear him play the piano. He was an accomplished musician, and it was a pleasure to hear him share that gift.

David’s love for Mary, his faith, his sense of humor, and his many talents made him a special man. He will be remembered with affection and missed by all who knew him. My sincere condolences to “Little Sis” and the entire family.

Dave was a wonderful husband, loving father & caring brother. He spent most of his career as a mechanic, and for the last 19 years he worked at Universal Technical Institute, he loved working there. Dave loved riding his motorcycle with his buddies and playing the piano. His wonderful church family prayed for him continually these past 19 months. It was by the grace of God that he was able to work and ride his bike for 18 of the 19 months following his cancer diagnosis on October 31, 2025. Dave faced the end with peace and a strong faith, unafraid and ready to sit at the feet of Jesus.
